ABOUT THE ALLEGORIES
There is no mention of anything directly spiritual or Biblical in these novels. They, therefore, do not come across as teachy or preachy in any way. Each book in the Theophilus Messenger series can stand alone as an adventurous and imagination-grabbing story. However, if you've ever been to church, you will probably notice some similarities that remind you of things you learned in Sunday School.
If, while reading one of these books, you notice that something sounds familiar, you're probably right. But you'll only find out how deep the allegory goes by reading the companion study guide released with each title. These seven guides called "The Secrets of the Series" can act as a springboard for parents and teachers to begin conversations about the seven core doctrines of Christianity. These Bible doctrines are foundational to understanding God.
